What are the museum timings?

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Last entry is at 5:30 PM. Closed on Mondays and all National Holidays.

How do I book tickets online?

Visit our Book Tickets page, select your preferred date and ticket category, complete payment and receive a QR-coded e-ticket via email.

Is photography allowed inside the museum?

Yes, non-flash photography for personal use is permitted throughout the museum. Tripods and professional equipment require prior written permission from the museum office.

Are guided tours available?

Free guided tours run at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 daily (except Mondays). Audio guides in English and Hindi are available free at the information desk.

Is the museum accessible for wheelchair users?

Yes, the museum is fully accessible. Ramps, lifts and tactile paths are available throughout the campus. Wheelchair loans are available at the entrance.

Can I visit the library separately?

Yes, the PMML Library is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. A separate library membership card is required for borrowing. Reading room access is available to all researchers.

Are children allowed in the museum?

Yes. Children under 7 are admitted free. The museum has child-friendly galleries, interactive zones and dedicated school group programmes.

Is there a cloakroom?

Yes, a free cloakroom is available on the ground floor near the main entrance. Bags larger than A4 size are not permitted inside the galleries.

Can I book a venue for an event?

Yes, the PMML auditorium and seminar rooms are available for booking. Please visit the Venue Booking section or email venues@pmml.gov.in.

How do I apply for archive access?

Submit an online application via the Archives section, providing your institutional affiliation and research purpose. Applications are reviewed within 10 working days.
